No more spots!

A week ago, my son rapidly developed a rash that covered his entire body.  A quick trip to the pediatrician diagnosed him as allergic to the amoxicilin that he had been taking for the last 9 days to treat a double ear infection.  The pediatrician told us to treat it with benedryl every 6 hours and it should clear up in a few days.

Two days later, it got worse instead of better. A frantic trip to Urgent Care on Saturday night found us with a NEW diagnosis: Erythema Multiforme. While the name and the rash look scary, it is basically just a hyper sensitivity to an allergen or virus.  In JP’s case, it was the drug amoxicillin.

This is what he looked like 72 hours into it, when the rash was definitely at its worst.

But I am happy to report that just 3 days later, he is almost completely better and back to his usual goofy self.  :)   Here are the many faces of JP:

Gorgeous family session at a dream location… right along the Hudson with views of the NYC skyline! But it IS July and we are in the middle of a heat wave… so it was hot and hazy, even at 8am! But the kids were good sports about it! It is grandma’s birthday, so we spent a lot of time focusing on her and the little ones.

Here’s a little sneak peek.

These two little girls that are the best of friends! We had such a fun session! We played on the beach and in the lake and on the swings and slide. I think they enjoyed it as much as I did :)
